Class: Online Saves Time
Since I am a senior and I decided to commute, I found it easier to take online classes along with interning and working. In addition to Education and Computers, I am taking another online class under the journalism and media studies department. Different from other online classes that I have had, this class requires too much reading in my opinion and not enough online interaction. I also prefer to use e-college for my online courses instead of sakai because it seems more organized and descriptive. What I like about the class is that each week my assignments are due on the same day and I do not have to be online at a specific time. In the course we are also working on blogs. Each week we have to post a blog about anything that relates to media and technology. My blog posting have focused a lot on the way we receive our news. One of my favorite postings talks about the Apple iPad and how consumers should wait until the next generation iPad is available because it will have so many additional features. There is an article on collegemedianetwork.com that talks about the apple iPad and how the new features will be like a flat screen laptop. Check out the article, http://news.collegemedianetwork.com/entertainment/apples-ipad-offers-plenty-of-features-next-generation-will-be-worth-wait , I am sure you will not be disappointed. Overall, I wish I would have experienced online courses before this past summer. I love the flexibility they provide while still receiving the information I need.

I agree, online classes are very convenient. I've taken courses where I sit and listen to the teacher read from the book practically and I just think about how being there is pointless. Online classes that allow you to work at your own pace are very flexible and rewarding, I think.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the ipad- It seems like every new device comes attached with that kind of warning now. I bought the Barnes and Noble Nook and I love it, and now it's less than 6 months later and I hear they're coming out with a new all touch-screen Nook. Ugh, should have waited lol.
Online classes are great! I have never taken one before, but like you I am very busy myself and it is extremely convenient! I couldnt imagine living in the city...fast paced life, always on the go! But dont get me wrong, I would LOVE to live there! I haven't shown much interest in the ipad...I hear that it is very nice, but it's not necessary to have. I am very simple all I need is my ipod and lap top and I am good to go!!
