I started a new job this week. With a new job comes orientation. With orientation comes long hours of sitting and power point presentations, I was so tired and still had to make my way to campus on the train in the rain. If I have not mentioned it I am a first time commuter, I lived on campus for four years and decided for my last semester as an Undergrad I would commute. I am taking two online classes, interning in New York and twice a week I make my way to New Brunswick for class. What I dislike most about commuting is commuting. Today for example, I have no control of public transportation and the bus was moving so slow. Thought I would never make it to class. By the time I get to my math class I am tired and worn out. My professor is not a professor that I typically enjoy. I prefer to see things written out and less talking but he is the total opposite. Sometimes, I get annoyed in the class because he assumes that students should know the material., duh that is why we are in the class. What I dislike most of all are the freshman in the class, they talk too much. It becomes very annoying when the professor is attempting to take attendance and students are talking louder than he is. I am learning that I do not have the same patience in class as I have had in the past. As a commuter I just like to go to class and get back home. Overall, the class is not bad, I get the information I need ask questions when I need and go home. The life of a commuter. (check me out on the train that was a good sunny day)
I can definitely understand how commuting back and forth all the time must get stressful at times (especially in the rain!) and I'm sure it takes awhile to get used to. Living in the city must be pretty awesome though--I've always wanted to live there and I'm still thinking about it! How's your new job going? I hope all is well! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey,my new job is going great. I do not actually live in the city just right outside of the city about 20 min commute. Just to intern here is great though, wonderful experience getting to meet so many people.
