Today at my internship I am brainstorming ideas to write my internship paper on. I was thinking more towards the idea of how students rate their professors and are websites like ratemyprofessor.com accurate enough for students to decide whether they should or should not take a course with a specific professor? Still thinking, until next time!

The City: Running Late
Today I overslept. That almost never happens to me. I never use an alarm clock but I always seem to manage waking up on time and getting where I need to be on time. I am guessing that today is just not my day being that I overslept by and hour and then I missed the train, showed up forty minutes late to my internship. My day changed around as I was walking through times square and seen this couple having their picture taken. Normally I would just be rude and walk through the picture just because its New York and that is what people do. Not today, I wanted my picture taken too because the Rev. Al Sharpton was preparing to get in his limo and I yelled out can I take a photo of you? He stopped and i took the p

Even though your day didn't start off as you would have liked it to, you still got to take a picture with Rev. Al Sharpton! Who know, maybe if you didn't wake up late you wouldnt have gotten the chance to meet him! I have always been a believe in the saying that everything happens for a reason! As far as the ratemyprofessor.com website goes, as far as I know they are pretty accurate. However, I have heard that some professors actually go on the site themselves and write their own comments about themselves! I usually just use it as a reference, but you never know if a teacher could be right for you even though someone else doesn't like him/her.
ReplyDeleteTha's a great topic to write about because I think sites like ratemyprofessor.com affects the way students think about their education. Alot of people use it to find the "easy A" teachers, but end up missing out on really great classes just because the course requires some effort to be put in.
