The City:GOODMORNING NEWYORK

Aside from the fact that I had to wake up an hour earlier than normal on a Tuesday morning, I was distracted by the announcement at the train station, "All trains in and out of NY Penn Station will be delayed 20- 30 minutes due to construction", are you kidding me I thought to myself? Only thing that made my morning better was the fact that I got a free train ride. After I wrestle through tons of people, who in a way seem to be rushing to Starbucks instead of work, I finally make it to my internship 30 minutes late. I intern at MTVu in the department of Digital Media, where I have a HUGE responsibility of maintaining the websites associated with MTVu. Today is a bit slow, hence the fact that I get to complete my Education and Computers homework. Today, I worked on Campus Ratings for the website http://ratemyprofessors.com/ as well as unacceptable ratings. Although this is not my first time interning, I like interning opposed to sitting in a class because it is not so structured. It allows me the opportunity to ask questions, make decisions ,give input and most importantly have a little fun. What I like most about interning for MTVu is that I feel like the voice of the students. As a college student I know what college students want. I am also working on a project for the website http://www.bestfilmoncampus.com/ which is a great opportunity for student filmmakers to get recognition, so be sure to take a look at the website.
